Anyone can get involved and help in the efforts to treat Ring14 and other 14th chromosome anomalies. Right now, we have three pressing needs for which you can make a significant difference.
Donate money. Research is expensive. Ring14 is an “orphan disease,” which means that the pharmaceutical industry has ignored it because it is too rare for them to profit from developing new treatments. As such, most research is exclusively financed through private donations.
All donations we receive are used to fund research initiatives, raise awareness and support the families. It is only through donations that any of this becomes possible and we want to assure you that we will honor your donation by making sure this money is put to the best possible uses.
You can donate to the cause by clicking the “DONATE NOW” button at the top of this page, or by sending a check or money order to:
Ring14USA Outreach, Inc.
107 North Reino Road, Suite 114
Newbury Park, CA 91320
Please make all checks payable to Ring14USA Outreach, Inc.
Donate blood/data. If you have a child with an anomaly on the 14th chromosome, please donate blood to our international biobank. This is what makes research possible, so it is vital for us to provide as many samples as possible. Please read this letter from our parent organization, Ring14, and respond to Stephania, Ring14′s president, to receive the sample kit and instructions for sending it.
Donate time. As a small charitable organization, any help that you can offer with your unique skills can make a tremendous difference.
